Pupils and teachers from Hamilton College were welcomed to Holyrood by Central Scotland MSP Margaret Mitchell.
The pupils ranging from Third Year to Advanced Higher attended a feisty First Minister’s Questions before getting an exclusive guided tour of the Parliament building.
Finally, the pupils got a chance to put their MSP host on the spot, asking a range of questions on from the work of a politician to the key issues facing the Parliament today.

“It was a pleasure to welcome pupils from Hamilton College to the Parliament on Thursday.
“The pupils asked insightful and thought-provoking questions regarding the work of an MSP both in the Parliament and in the Constituency.
“The Advanced Higher pupils had hard hitting questions about re-offending rates, women in prison and the link between prisons and mental health.
“After the question and answer session it was good the pupils had the opportunity to see the Donald Dewar Library.
“They also visited and heard about the numerous and varied events held in The Parliament’s multi-functional Garden Lobby.”
