On Friday 16th November, Central Scotland MSP Margaret Mitchell visited Larkhall Christians Together’s Lighthouse Centre.
The Lighthouse is situated in the old Credit Union building which lay empty before the Larkhall group gave the building a new lease of life.
It is now local community hub after Larkhall Christians Together agreed to pay £1 a year in rent to South Lanarkshire Council, breathing new life into the King Street facility.
Commenting Central Scotland and Scottish Conservative MSP Margaret Mitchell, said:
“It was a pleasure to speak to Nancy and Terri at the Lighthouse and to learn about the amazing service provided to the local community.
“Through its signposting and advice service, room hire and event hosting, the Lighthouse has established itself as an integral part of Larkhall town centre.
“I know Nancy and Terri together with the other members of Larkhall Christians Together have big plans for the future of the Lighthouse.
“I can’t wait to see what they do next!”
