On the 20th August Margaret Mitchell MSP’s consultation on a proposed member’s bill called the Mediation (Scotland) Bill closed.

 

Justice Committee in the Borders

On Monday and Tuesday this week the Justice Committee met in the Borders where we met with representatives and held a Business Planning Day for the year ahead. The visit provided a welcome opportunity to listen to the views of local police, as well as others working in the justice system.

Living well with MS Sessions

MS Society Scotland is running Living Well with MS Sessions in Hamilton on 7th and 21st September.

These two half-day sessions planned for people newly diagnosed with MS help people connect and share experiences.

Meeting with US Judges

Yesterday Margaret, along with other members of the Justice Committee, met with Judge Victoria Pratt, former Chief Judge of Newark Municipal Court, Newark, New Jersey and Judge Ginger Learner-Wren, County Court Judge, Broward County, Florida.

This month is the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal and ahead of the celebration in Parliament last week, I popped in to the Hamilton Marie Curie shop.

Lanarkshire Occupational Therapy Discussed in Holyrood

Central Scotland MSP, Margaret Mitchell, recently met with Occupational Therapists at Burnbank Medical Centre who are participating in a pilot scheme which aims promote earlier intervention and preventative care.
